Our ovenware is exceptional not only because it is handmade using native materials, but really oven safe. The specially formulated clay we use is designed to withstand the temperatures needed for baking. (The only caveat is to not put a frozen dish in a hot oven.)

Stoneware is a great material to bake in. The thick walls hold heat well which make pie crusts crispy and keep casseroles hot longer.
